When Eldoret based business man, Abraham Lagat, first thought of starting a side hustle to sustain his family, he saw his dream of engaging in Iron sheet rolling as an impossible task due to the huge startup capital required.
The 30-year-old, who is a teacher by profession recalls how he prayed to God not to let his dream come to a premature end.
“Being a young hustling man, aged just 30 with big dreams of opening a large Mabati rolling company, I prayed to God to let me achieve this goal. I did not have enough capital required, not even a half of it,” said Mr Lagat.

Mr Lagat who is now the director of Meta Meta Mabati rolling company located in Annex, Eldoret along Eldoret-Nakuru highway disclosed that, that is how Imarisha Sacco stepped in and actualized his dream.
Through Corporate loan that Mr Lagat acquired from the Sacco, he was able to start up his Iron sheet rolling company which over time has thrived to become popular and among the leading businesses in Eldoret.
“I had a dream but I lacked capital. I asked around and I got good recommendations about Imarisha Sacco. That’s when I visited Imarisha Sacco Eldoret branch. After explaining to them my dream and goal, they advised me to apply for Corporate loan, which I did,” he said.
“The process was straight forward and after providing all the documents they needed I was given the amount I had applied for. That is where actualizing of my dream started and since then with Imarisha Sacco as my financial partner it has been nothing but business growth,’ he added.
The business mogul, who has created employment to many youths said that, being a beneficiary of Imarisha Sacco products he cannot miss any opportunity to let others get experience too, and that is why he channels his employees’ salaries through the Sacco.
“No one should miss an opportunity to enjoy the best products and services that this Sacco offers. They have something designed for everyone,” he said.
Over time, Imarisha Sacco has risen to be among the top performing Saccos in Kenya.
This have been attributed to the fact that it is open to everyone from all walks of life through innovation of products and services tailored to meet their financial needs.
